Matchroom Boxing has confirmed that Monte-Carlo Showdown VII will take place at the Salle des Étoiles on December 12, with Eddie Hearn promising a host of big fights for the 2026 event.

Matchroom Boxing will return to Monaco later this year, with Monte-Carlo Showdown VII officially confirmed for Saturday, December 12.

The seventh edition of the event will once again take place at the Salle des Étoiles, Sporting Monte-Carlo, and will be broadcast live worldwide on DAZN.

No fights have been announced for this year's card yet, but Matchroom Sport chairman Eddie Hearn has promised another big night in the Principality.

“Our annual Monte-Carlo Showdown is one of the most eagerly awaited fixtures in the sport and we cannot wait to return to the Principality this December,” Hearn said.

“As always, it will be a special spectacle, with a host of big fights lighting up the card, all live on the Global Home of Boxing, DAZN.”

Monte-Carlo Showdown returns after dramatic 2025 event

Last year's event saw Shabaz Masoud defeat Peter McGrail to claim the European super-bantamweight title in the main event.

Masoud remains unbeaten at 15-0 and is set to return to action next week at Manchester's Co-op Live, where he faces Ckari Cani Mansilla for the vacant IBF Intercontinental featherweight title.

The 2025 Monte-Carlo card also featured Elif Nur Turhan's victory over Brazilian Olympic medallist Beatriz Ferreira, with Turhan stopping her opponent to capture the IBF lightweight world title.

Conah Walker also produced an upset on the night, stopping Tokyo 2020 Olympic silver medallist Pat McCormack in the 12th round.

Previous editions of Matchroom's Monte-Carlo events have featured several major names in boxing, including Dmitry Bivol, Gennady Golovkin, Joe Cordina and Derek Chisora.

Hearn thanked those involved in bringing the event back to Monaco for another year.

“We are immensely grateful to our magnificent hosts at Sporting Monte-Carlo, along with the ever-present Michael Wittstock and the Prince of Monaco, Albert II, who have long championed this incredible event.”

Two-night packages including accommodation and fight night tickets are already on sale, with standalone ticket information set to be announced at a later date.

The full fight card and fight week schedule are also yet to be confirmed.

Monte-Carlo Showdown VII takes place at the Salle des Étoiles, Sporting Monte-Carlo, on Saturday, December 12 and will be broadcast live worldwide on DAZN.
