UFC LONDON: FIGHT NIGHT BRINGS STATEMENT WINS AND STALLED FIGHTS

UFC London: Fight Night delivered a card full of contrasts at the O2 Arena, with explosive finishes, tactical battles, and a brutally honest crowd.

The main event saw Movsar Evloev remain undefeated, improving his record to 20-0 with a majority decision win over Lerone Murphy, who falls to 17-1-1, breaking his unbeaten streak.

Murphy started fast, outstriking Evloev across the opening rounds, but the Russian fighter gradually grew in confidence with his own striking and leaned on his wrestling in the championship rounds, securing takedowns and control time. It was a close contest, especially after Evloev had a point deducted.

In the co-main event, Luke Riley (13-0) continued his rise with a unanimous decision win over Michael Aswell Jr. (11-4). Riley’s sharp jab and body work allowed him to dictate the pace throughout, landing the cleaner shots across all three rounds.

Michael 'Venom' Page (25-3) earned a decision win over Sam Patterson (14-3-1), but the performance drew heavy criticism.

Walking out to They Don’t Care About Us by Michael Jackson, potentially a message to the UFC following his stance on fighter pay and opponent issues, MVP entered to a huge reaction. However, a low-output fight led to boos throughout, with only 39 significant strikes thrown. Fans were heard chanting “MVP’s boring” and “F*ck MVP”, directing frustration at both fighters as the bout dragged on, a stark contrast to his Bellator days.

Iwo Baraniewski (8-0) wasted no time, improving his undefeated record with a 28-second TKO over Austen Lane (13-8). The David vs Goliath dynamic played out instantly, as the noticeably shorter Baraniewski dropped Lane early and finished the fight with punches, marking another first-round finish for the Polish prospect.

Christian Leroy Duncan (14-2) earned a unanimous decision win over Roman Dolidze (15-5) by dominating on the feet, although Dolidze’s grappling-heavy approach suppressed many of the striking exchanges, much to the crowd’s irritation.

Danny Silva (11-2) delivered one of the night’s biggest upsets, stopping Kurtis Campbell (8-1) via TKO in the second round. After being controlled early, Silva turned the fight around instantly, dropping Campbell with a right hand before finishing him just 31 seconds into the round.

Closing out the prelims, Wales’ Mason Jones (18-2) earned a hard-fought decision win over France's Axel Sola (11-1-1).

The Welsh fighter was dropped by a spinning elbow in the first round but responded with relentless pressure and spinning attacks of his own. The Frenchman absorbed heavy head kicks as the crowd erupted throughout, earning both fighters a well-deserved Fight of the Night bonus.

Nathaniel Wood (23-6) also delivered a strong performance over Losene Keita (16-2), winning by split decision.

Mario Pinto (12-0) and Mantas Kondratavicius (9-1) both earned unanimous decision victories over Felipe Franco (10-2) and Antonio Trocoli (12-7) respectively, controlling their opponents across three rounds to secure clear wins on the scorecards.

Brando Pericic (6-1) secured another quick first-round finish, this time over Louie Sutherland (10-5), who fell to a flurry of punches from the Croatian fighter.

Despite strong fan support for Shaqueme ‘Shem’ Rock (12-3-1), Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady (16-4) dominated him across all three rounds, defeating the Liverpool fighter by unanimous decision.

Shanelle Dyer (7-1) opened the night with a second-round TKO over Brazil's Ravena Oliveira (7-4). After a cautious first round, the London-born fighter overwhelmed her opponent with knees and punches, earning a strong crowd reaction.
