UFC Sacramento Quick Results: Rodrigues Shuts Down Hernandez

Gregory Rodrigues proved too much for hometown hero Anthony Hernandez, shutting him down over five rounds in the main event.
At UFC Sacramento, brute force met surgical execution inside the Golden 1 Center. The stakes across the middleweight and light heavyweight divisions were massive, and the cage exposed every flaw.
We saw a main event that tested the physical limits of two 185-pound contenders, a dominant shutout in the co-main and a divisional debut that altered the 205-pound hierarchy.
Main Event: Gregory Rodrigues outlasts Anthony Hernandez
Gregory Rodrigues didn’t just beat Anthony Hernandez.,He dismantled the primary weapons of one of middleweights most terrifying pressure fighters, walking away with a hard-fought unanimous decision victory (48-47, 49-46, 48-47).
Hernandez relies on a suffocating pace. By chaining takedowns against the fence, he drowns opponents in deep water. Rodrigues countered this by weaponising his hips, flat-out refusing to be held down.
He framed off the collar ties, dug heavy underhooks, and forced Hernandez to trade in open space. When Hernandez rushed in to close the distance, Rodrigues met him with violent check hooks and stinging straight rights down the pipe.
It was a masterclass in distance management and defensive grappling. 'Robocop' matched the legendary cardio of "Fluffy" over 25 minutes, proving his gas tank is no longer a liability.
Co-Main Event: Vitor Petrino Sweeps Serghei Spivac
Vitor Petrino earned a flawless 30-27 across all scorecards against Serghei Spivac. Petrino kept the fight exactly where he needed it. Spivac thrives on dragging opponents to the mat and imposing a heavy top game, something Petrino denied the Moldovan.
Petrino controlled the real estate by fighting tall, establishing a stiff jab and chewing up Spivac’s lead leg with thudding calf kicks. Whenever Spivac telegraphed his level changes, Petrino effortlessly slid out of range or dug stiff body shots to deter the entry.
It was fifteen minutes of complete tactical discipline. Petrino fought a risk-averse but highly effective game plan, pitching a shutout without taking any significant damage.
De Ridder’s LHW Arrival
The light heavyweight division has a massive new problem. Reinier de Ridder needed exactly four minutes and one second to violently announce his arrival in the division, stopping Roman Dolidze via first-round TKO.
Dolidze made a catastrophic tactical error early. Instead of forcing a striking battle, the Georgian pulled guard to chase leg locks. You do not invite a grappling exchange with a decorated specialist like de Ridder.
The Dutch standout easily cleared the leg entanglements, secured dominant top position, and flattened Dolidze out. From there, de Ridder rained down a non-stop barrage of heavy ground-and-pound until the referee had seen enough.
Other main card winners
Welsh prospect Mason "The Dragon" Jones came in riding a seven-fight win streak, but MarQuel Mederos snapped it at 2:07 of the second round. Mederos found his timing early. He read Jones’s entries, slipped off the center line, and uncorked a brutal sequence of elbows and punches in the clinch that forced the stoppage
With just one second remaining in the fight, Chris Padilla snatched an arm-triangle choke to submit Nasrat Haqparast at 4:59 of Round 3. Padilla absorbed heavy fire on the feet but continuously threatened the neck in transitions. Haqparast defended well for 14 minutes, but Padilla’s relentless chain-grappling finally broke his resistance in the dying moments of the bout.
