Chris Billam-Smith Defeats Ryan Rozicki at Zuffa Boxing 07: Full Results

Zuffa Boxing 07 was headlined by Chris Billam-Smith vs. Ryan Rozicki at the Bournemouth International Centre. The event was Zuffa Boxing's first ever outing to the United Kingdom since their inaugural event in January.

Billam-Smith (21-2) fought in his hometown of Bournemouth. A former WBO cruiserweight champion, he claimed the belt in 2023 and defended it twice before losing it to Gilberto Ramirez in late 2024. Alike his opponent, he made his Zuffa Boxing debut with the aim to assert himself into the title picture.

Rozicki (21-1-1) traveled across the globe to take on the former champion in his backyard. A prominent finisher inside the boxing ring, the 20 out of 21 of the Canadian's wins had come via way of knockout. 'The Bruiser' previously fought Yamil Alberto Peralta for the WBC interim Cruiser Title in 2024, a fight which ended in a draw. A win against Billam-Smith would of extended his win streak to 10 straight and been the biggest win of his career so far.

From the onset Rozicki made it clear that his one and only goal was to get Billiam-Smith out of there in any capacity he could. Biliam-Smith held his ground against the charging-bull, throwing counters inside the pocket against the bombs being unloaded on him.

The men continued to trade shots from the first to final bell, with Billiam-Smith racking up significant damage on the Canadian, who completely refused to fold. It was apparent that the hometown fighter had the significant advantage, yet was failing to put his opponent away.

Round 6 and 7 saw Rozicki hurt badly yet he still refused to step off the gas, pressuring Billiam-Smith against the ropes and forcing him to work at close range. Round 8 ended with Rozicki rocked and barely hanging on, yet saved by the bell.

The accumulated damage was enough for 'The Bruiser's' corner however, who waved the fight off in-between rounds, saving their fighter from more punishment. Both men showed a display of undeniable heart, though it was Bournemouth's own Billiam-Smith who had his hand raised.

An orthodox vs. southpaw matchup to open up Zuffa Boxing 07's main card. Sam Hickey moved his professional record to 5-0 with a highlight reel knockout of Todd Tompkins. A fairly even first round saw Hickey find success at the mid-range, with Tompkins firing back to the best of his ability. Early into the second the favourite, Hickey, was able to land three crippling straight rights to his opponent and find the knockout.

McKenna and Streeter came out swinging for the fences. Both men chose to trade power-shots in the centre of the ring as the first bell rung. McKenna (15-1) caught Streeter (15-3) early, scoring a knockdown before landing power shots through the guard to score the TKO with relative ease. The Irishman bounces back in prolific fashion since his first career loss to Lee Cutler back in December 2024 – sending the bustling crowd into a frenzy in Bournemouth.

After a close first round which saw Aaron Sutton (19-2) pump out a jab against a Lee Cutler (15-2) who pressed the fight using his physicality, the fight ended abruptly in the second. Early into the round, a punch thrown by Cutler led to Sutton's shoulder being dislocated and the fight being stopped, despite Sutton protesting. The hometown fighter in Cutler earns his 16th career victory.

Chev Clarke (11-2) mounts a massive comeback to overcome Jack Massey (23-3) in their cruiserweight bout. After nearly being finished by a massive knockdown in the 4th round, Clarke survived a charging Massey and gained composure to find a knockdown of his own in round 7. A brutal right hand put Massey down and Clarke was able to capitalise upon it for the finish.

Alex Macmillan started the card off in dominant fashion, stopping Leo Fanthome (7-2) in 2nd round 'The Villain' scored two knockdowns in the 1st round before a flurry of combinations saw the fight called off in the second. Improving his pro record to 4-0.

Leon Hughes (5-0) spent three rounds putting on a decisive performance over the tough Vergiev (8-5), who pushed forward throughout. Hughes showboated, proving that his speed and boxing ability was vastly too much for the Bulgarian.

The top of the preliminary card saw former Olympian Ivan Dychko (16-1) take on the undefeated Harvey Dykes (7-0). Standing at 6' 9", Dychko used his stature to keep the Brit at bay over a 12 round affair. Dykes appeared to struggle with the height and reach of his opponent, which led to the Kazakhstan native awarded a split decision victory.
