Cam Rowston Prepares for 3-Round War against Robert Bryczek at UFC Fight Night: Della Maddalena vs. Prates

Cam Rowston returns to action at UFC Perth for his second fight of 2026, riding momentum from a dominant second-round TKO victory over Cody Brundage at UFC 325.

Speaking to Combat Evolved, Rowston (14-3) shared his interest to be involved in the upcoming fight card as he’s been preparing since his last UFC bout.

He said: “I did actually ask to be on this card. I knew that it was going to be a quick turn-around.

“I got a full nine weeks in. I rolled straight off the back of the last training camp from the UFC Sydney fight. I prefer the routine of just grinding away, that’s what I’m here for.”

The Australian mixed martial artist takes on Robert Bryczek (18-6) in the featured prelim of UFC Perth.

The Polish Assessment

Rowston highly rates his opponent and believes he will be a tough matchup, especially if the battle stays on the feet.

The 31-year-old said: “The fights that I’ve watched, he’s got that ‘Polish power’ in his hands, tight boxing and good mechanics in his boxing.

“An efficient machine that can kind of just plugs away during the fight and comes forward.”

Rowston has been a far more active fighter compared to his opponent within the last two years, competing seven times while Bryczek has only fought twice.

When asked about the Bielsko-Biala-born fighter’s activity compared to his own, the ‘Battle Giraffe’ believes it plays an advantage for the Polish Middleweight.

He said: “His last fight was the start of September, so pretty recent, but he’s probably been training that whole time.

“He’s going to give it a good nudge and push forward so I definitely think that’s going to play a positive factor for him.”

Perth: Home Territory

Rowston will be making his third consecutive UFC appearance down under, fighting in the RAC Arena for the second time in his career.

Despite fighting on home soil, the City Kickboxing fighter doesn’t believe it gives him an advantage once locked in the cage.

He added: “It just spurs me on.

“I’ve fought plenty of times in hostile environments and plenty of times in having home territory advantage, so to me neither of those really play a factor at all.”

Rowston also explained the ideal scenario for his fight against Bryczek, as well as the expectations for what is to come of this 185-pound contest.

He stated: “We’ve gone a hard 15 minutes, a lot of sweat, a lot of blood. Bruce Buffer or whoever’s the ring announcer says split decision and then I get my hand raised.

“They can expect to see a win, obviously, a gritty, gutsy performance.

“Then I’m just going to get on the mic after that and I’m going to say my piece, and they should be listening very closely."

Rowston is aiming to extend his win streak to seven straight in MMA and keep his undefeated record inside the UFC.

The Aussie currently had three successive knockout victories, and another could be in store at UFC Perth.
