Michael ‘Venom’ Page signs multi-year deal with Misfits Boxing following UFC exit
Michael ‘Venom’ Page has signed a multi-fight, multi-year deal with Misfits Boxing following his departure from the UFC, where he recorded five wins in six fights.
Michael ‘Venom’ Page has officially signed with Misfits Boxing, just weeks after his unexpected departure from the UFC.
The 39-year-old British fighter has agreed a multi-fight, multi-year deal with MF Sports, with the announcement made during Misfits Boxing 30 at London’s Copper Box Arena on Saturday night.
Page, widely known as MVP, leaves the UFC having won five of his six fights with the promotion, including four consecutive victories.
Despite his impressive record, the UFC opted against renewing his contract when it expired in September, leaving the former Bellator standout free to explore other opportunities.
Page has now chosen Misfits Boxing as his next destination, although an opponent and date for his debut have yet to be confirmed.
“I’ve been in combat sports for a long time, and I’ve had plenty of options, but MF Sports is the right fit for me,” Page said.
“They’re doing things differently, the energy is huge, and the fights are big. I’m excited for this new chapter, and I’m coming to show the boxing world what I can do.”
Page moves on after UFC departure
Page joined the UFC in 2024 following a lengthy career with Bellator, where he established himself as one of the promotion’s most recognisable fighters.
Known for his unorthodox striking and movement, the Londoner enjoyed a successful spell in the Octagon, recording victories over the likes of Kevin Holland, Shara Magomedov, Jared Cannonier and Nursulton Ruziboev.
His only UFC defeat came against Ian Machado Garry in June 2024.
Page’s final UFC appearance came in September, when he defeated Ruziboev by unanimous decision at UFC Paris.
Despite finishing his UFC career with a 5-1 record, the promotion decided not to offer him a new contract.
The decision came as a surprise to many, particularly with Page still competing successfully against established UFC opposition.
KSI welcomes MVP to Misfits Boxing
Misfits co-founder KSI welcomed Page into the ring during Saturday’s event, describing the signing as a major moment for the promotion.
“Michael Venom Page is one of the biggest names in combat sports, and everyone wanted him,” KSI said.
“For him to choose Misfits says everything about where we are as a promotion. He’s a superstar, he’s explosive, and fans are going to love watching him in the ring with us.”
Page also addressed the crowd following the announcement, expressing his excitement about the move.
“I feel free. That’s all I can say, I feel free,” Page said.
“The shackles are off, and now, with my brother KSI, Mams, the Misfits team, oh, I can create some big memories here, some big moments.”
Page already has professional boxing experience, having won both of his previous bouts by knockout.
He enters this latest chapter with an MMA record of 26-3, but it remains unclear whether his agreement with MF Sports will involve exclusively boxing or potentially other combat sports.
For now, his first opponent, fight date and weight class remain unannounced.
