Odel Kamara will make his professional debut on the Ben Whittaker vs Connor Wallace undercard in Birmingham, while British champion Bilal Fawaz has signed a new multi-fight deal with Matchroom Boxing.

Odel Kamara will make his long-awaited professional debut on the undercard of Ben Whittaker's clash with Connor Wallace at Birmingham's Utilita Arena on October 3.

The 22-year-old recently signed with Matchroom Boxing after an impressive amateur career that saw him win seven national titles while representing both England and Great Britain.

Kamara, who is trained by Tony Sims, will make his first appearance in the professional ranks on a card headlined by Whittaker and Wallace's IBF light heavyweight title eliminator.

“It starts October 3 in Birmingham,” Kamara said.

“I promise to give the fans excitement so they know what I'm all about. This is the start to a busy end to the year.”

Bilal Fawaz signs new Matchroom contract

British super-welterweight champion Bilal Fawaz has also committed his future to Matchroom Boxing after signing a new multi-fight promotional deal.

Fawaz (12-1-1, 4 KOs) returns to defend his British title against Eithan James after successfully retaining the belt against Ishmael Davis in February.

The champion believes he has only just begun to show what he is capable of.

“I am delighted to announce my extension with Matchroom Boxing,” Fawaz said.

“I believe I've delivered every opportunity I've had, but the journey is only just getting started. I will become world champion.

“Even the strongest of men run from danger. I am that danger.”

Hamza Uddin targets British title history

Walsall's Hamza Uddin will challenge Sean Bruce for the British and Commonwealth flyweight titles as he looks to make history.

Uddin (6-0, 3 KOs) is aiming to become the first British Bengali boxer to win a British title.

“On October 3, I will put on the best performance of my life and send shockwaves through the division,” Uddin said.

“I'll be the first British Bengali fighter to win the British title and that will be very special for me and my family.”

The card will also feature an English title fight between the unbeaten Ibraheem Sulaimaan and Sonny Hardy.

Elsewhere, Aaron Bowen takes on Klint Baptiste for the Midlands Area super-middleweight title, while Adam Maca looks to extend his unbeaten start to his professional career.

Whittaker (12-0-1, 9 KOs) and Wallace (17-1, 12 KOs) headline the event in a final eliminator for the IBF world light heavyweight title, with the card set to be broadcast live worldwide on DAZN.
