Tom Nolan Stops Renato Moicano After Controversial Restart

Australia's Tom Nolan defeated Renato Moicano by TKO in the third round, collecting the biggest win of his career.

The Brazilian posed a significant threat on the ground, threatening a rear-naked choke in the first two rounds while maintaining plenty of control on the canvas.

During the second round, referee Dan Miragliotta controversially restarted the fight whilst Moicano had Nolan's back. The Aussie then came close to securing a finish at the end of the round with his fierce striking.

'Big Train' hurt the number 12 lightweight contender in round three, continuing his bombardment of ground-and-pound strikes to secure the finish.

Nolan now looks set to climb the 155-pound rankings, hoping to enter the top 10 with his next victory.
