Adam Cullen Promises Blood and Fireworks Ahead of Cage Warriors 207 Return

Adam Cullen returns to Cage Warriors 207 on June 20 at Manchester's BEC Arena, where he faces Carl Jones following the withdrawal of Stefano Catacoli. The Next Generation MMA prospect discusses his evolution as a fighter, UFC ambitions and why fans can still expect fireworks inside the cage.

"I don't know how to have boring fights - people want to see action-packed MMA and I'm the man for that."

Liverpool prospect Adam Cullen (13-2) returns to action at Cage Warriors 207 on June 20 at Manchester's BEC Arena as he continues his pursuit of a UFC contract.

Originally scheduled to face Stefano Catacoli, Cullen will now take on Manchester Top Team prospect Carl Jones after a late opponent change. Despite the switch, the Next Generation MMA standout remains focused on extending his winning streak and building momentum towards the biggest opportunities of his career.

The exciting Cage Warriors contender spoke to Combat Evolved about his evolution as a fighter, his UFC ambitions and why fans can still expect fireworks when he steps into the cage.

A More Composed Fighter

Cullen has earned a reputation as one of Cage Warriors' most entertaining fighters, regularly delivering the kind of all-action performances that have made him a fan favourite.

However, his last two appearances have shown a more mature side to his game.

Confident in his abilities, Cullen no longer feels the need to force a firefight from the opening bell. Instead, he enters the cage with a more composed and calculated approach, trusting his skills to create opportunities rather than chasing chaos.

Looking back on his most recent defeat, Cullen believes it wasn't a lack of ability that cost him.

He said:

"I just had a war - when two people have got power and two people have game, you're just flipping a coin."

Now riding a two-fight winning streak, Cullen credits his more measured style for helping him leave the cage with less damage while continuing to secure victories.

The Liverpool fighter is part of the renowned Next Generation MMA team, training alongside fellow Cage Warriors stars George Staines and Shem Rock, as well as UFC prospect Luke Riley.

Staines will also compete at Cage Warriors 207, giving the gym another opportunity to showcase why it remains one of the UK's premier MMA teams.

A Pledge of Violence

Despite becoming a more calculated fighter, Cullen insists fans shouldn't mistake composure for caution.

The fan-friendly lightweight has built his reputation on delivering exciting fights and believes that willingness to embrace chaos is something many fighters simply don't possess.

He said:

"Sometimes you need chaos and I've proved I can go there.

Some fighters can't go there, bite down on the gumshield and have it."

Cullen understands exactly what fans expect whenever his name appears on a Cage Warriors card.

For all the improvements to his tactical approach, he promises the same aggression and entertainment that has helped make him one of the promotion's most exciting prospects.

Following the Next Generation MMA Path to the UFC

The event marks Cullen's fourth fight in a 12-month period and another important step towards achieving his long-term goal of reaching the UFC.

With another victory at Cage Warriors 207, Cullen believes bigger opportunities will follow. A shot on Dana White's Contender Series and ultimately a UFC contract remain firmly in his sights.

The pathway has already been laid out by those around him at Next Generation MMA.

The Liverpool gym has become one of Europe's most successful MMA teams, producing UFC stars including Paddy Pimblett while continuing to develop the next wave of elite talent.

After establishing himself as one of Cage Warriors' brightest prospects, teammate Luke Riley earned his UFC opportunity and made his promotional debut at UFC London earlier this year. Riley is now scheduled to compete at UFC 329 during International Fight Week, where he will share the card with Pimblett, who faces Benoit Saint-Denis in one of the biggest fights of his career.

Training alongside fighters who have successfully made the jump from Cage Warriors to the UFC gives Cullen daily proof that the dream is achievable. Now, he hopes to follow the same trajectory.

He said:

"I'm not here to make up the numbers, I'm here to get to the UFC, make a name for myself, make a f*ckload of money."

In his final message to fans, Cullen made one thing clear: while his game may be evolving, entertainment remains guaranteed.

Blood. Fireworks. Violence.

Exactly what Cage Warriors fans have come to expect from Adam Cullen.
