Dana White's Contender Series returns for its tenth season with four UK and Ireland prospects hoping to earn UFC contracts and follow in the footsteps of the promotion's future champions.

Dana White's Contender Series (DWCS) returns for its tenth season as another wave of MMA prospects prepare for the opportunity to earn a UFC contract.

The series is set to debut on Paramount+ with Week One commencing on August 11.

Plenty of current contenders and UFC fighters have reached the sport's biggest stage after earning a contract through Dana White's Contender Series.

Four UFC Champions Started on DWCS

Only four fighters have progressed from DWCS to become UFC champions.

Sean O'Malley made an appearance on the first season of DWCS in July 2017 before dethroning Aljamain Sterling at UFC 292 to claim the bantamweight title.

Jamahal Hill became the second to achieve the feat after earning his contract on the Contender Series in July 2019 before defeating Glover Teixeira to win the vacant light heavyweight belt at UFC 283.

Jack Della Maddalena earned his UFC contract during season five of DWCS before eventually capturing the welterweight championship with victory over Belal Muhammad at UFC 315.

Carlos Ulberg became the latest fighter to do so after appearing on season four in November 2020 before knocking out Jiri Prochazka at UFC 327 to become the light heavyweight champion.

Four UK and Ireland Fighters Looking to Impress

This season, another group of prospects will hope to follow that path as four fighters from the UK and Ireland look to impress Dana White and secure UFC contracts.

Sean Clancy Jr has been on fire at Cage Warriors, winning the interim welterweight title in his most recent outing while remaining undefeated with eight victories, all coming by way of finish.

Scotland's rising MMA star will take on Gary Balletto Jr during Week Three of DWCS.

Another fighter who has risen from Cage Warriors to the Contender Series is Ireland's Adam Darby, who earned his opportunity following a first-round ninja choke submission victory at CW 200.

'The Plank' is set to face Patrick Rivera in a welterweight bout during Week Four.

Liam McCracken has been one of Full Contact Contender's most impressive prospects, currently riding a five-fight winning streak with a 100 percent finish rate.

Like Darby, the Liverpool fighter will compete during Week Four, where he faces Silvestre Sanchez.

Finally, Callum Connor will look to remain undefeated after impressive victories under Full Contact Contender and, most recently, Apex Combat Championship. The lightweight prospect also trains alongside Lerone Murphy, whose recent rise to UFC title contention has made him one of the UK's standout talents.

The Englishman will travel to Las Vegas for Week Seven, where he takes on Piero Guaylupo in a lightweight contest.

DWCS Season 10 Schedule

With another crop of talented prospects ready to compete, the tenth season of Dana White's Contender Series could once again introduce future UFC contenders.

Every event will be hosted at the UFC Apex, beginning with Week One on August 11 and concluding with the final week on October 13.
