Jordan Vucenic Targets Second Cage Warriors Title Against Ieuan Davies at CW 212

Ieuan Davies will defend his lightweight title against former featherweight champion Jordan Vucenic at Cage Warriors 212 in Manchester on 28 November.

Headlining Cage Warriors 212 will be a lightweight title bout between newly crowned champion Ieuan Davies and former featherweight king Jordan Vucenic.

The event takes place on 28 November in Manchester, with Davies set to make the first defence of his lightweight title against one of Cage Warriors’ most recognisable names.

Even though their ages are similar, their MMA careers are at very different stages. The Welshman Davies is hunting his entrance into MMA’s elite after securing his first professional title in exceptional fashion this summer.

Alternatively, Vucenic has already risen to the top of Cage Warriors, winning the featherweight belt before earning his opportunity in the UFC. However, after an unsuccessful stint, he returned to Cage Warriors in pursuit of a second belt and another shot at the top.

Ieuan Davies: The Rising Welshman

Fighting out of Wrexham, the undefeated lightweight aims to secure his first title defence against Cage Warriors icon Jordan Vucenic.

Davies made his Cage Warriors debut in April 2023 with a first-round guillotine win over Dec Dean. Since then, he has fought and won five times in the famous yellow gloves.

In June, he earned the 155lbs belt against fierce striker Omiel Brown with a first-round submission in just 61 seconds. The bout headlined a stacked Manchester event, and it will be a return to the northwest this November when he faces Vucenic.

For Davies, this bout undoubtedly has UFC implications. Currently 8-0 with seven finishes, he is exactly the type of prospect the UFC looks for in the ever-expanding lightweight division.

Jordan Vucenic: Chasing a UFC Comeback

Former featherweight champion Jordan Vucenic got his shot in the UFC back in August 2024, stepping in on short notice against Guram Kutateladze. Ultimately, the Englishman tasted defeat but took positives from his debut.

He returned to the UFC Octagon in March 2025 and suffered a submission loss to Chris Duncan. In July 2025, he was released.

However, his return to Cage Warriors has been far more positive. Now fighting at 155lbs, Vucenic has won his last three fights in the yellow gloves since returning to the organisation in November last year against rising prospect Torpal Merjoev.

‘The Epidemic’ knows his brief spell in the UFC was not a true reflection of the quality of fighter he is, and a victory over Davies in Manchester on 28 November would see him become a two-weight Cage Warriors champion and certainly help his case for another shot at the big show.
